affordable and quality power amplification. The XLS Series amplifiers are professional stereo power amplifiers made to meet the challenging audio requirements consistently and within the budget. This Crown amplifier has a selectable high pass filter per channel (30 Hz/ 15 kHz/ off) for greater efficiency when the amplifier is not used with full range cabinets or subwoofers. The unit ensures a speaker protection via linear optocoupier clip limiter and subsonic filters. It is supported with an efficient forced air fan to prevent excessive thermal build-up. It consists of rugged all steel 3U chassis, thereby, incorporating the best of tried-and-true design principles and innovative features.
The Crown XLS602 1200w Stereo Power Amplifier has the front panel with precision detented level controls, a power switch & 4 LED’s which indicate clip for each channel, power and fault conditions. The rear panel incorporates 2 balanced XLR inputs and touch proof binding outposts. It has its stereo power specifications as 370W / 8ohms, 600W / 4ohms, 840W / 2ohms and the bridged mono power of 1200W / 8ohms. The signal-to-noise ratio has A-weighted, below rated power of greater than 98 dB and no weighting, below rated power of >93 dB.
The sensitivity of the unit for full rated power at 4 ohms is 1.25 V and the frequency response at 1 watt, 22 Hz to 20 Hz comes to +0 dB, 0.8 dB. It has a total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 0.5% and the inter-modulation distortion from full rated output to +40 dB is less than 0.3%. The damping factor at 10 Hz to 400 Hz is greater than 200. It supports a nominal input impedance of 20kohms balanced and 10kohms unbalanced. The load impedance is rated for 2 to 8 ohms per channel in stereo and 4 to 8 ohms in Bridge Mono.
