Overview
The new QSC RMX4050HD has a stereo mode power rating of 8 ohms: 800 watts, 4 ohms: 1300 watts and 2 ohms: 1600 watts. Bridged mono power rating of the system is 8 ohms: 2600 watts and 4 ohms: 4000 watts. The improved thermal performance gives you higher continuous power in 2-ohms stereo or 4-ohms bridged applications. For increased reliability and performance it has a dual mono high current power supply. 20 kOhms balanced and 10 kOhms unbalanced are the impedance details supported by the unit.
QSC RMX4050HD Power Amplifier supports selectable low frequency filters, which protects the speakers, and increase headroom. For easy access, this model has front mounted gain controls. Frequency response of the system is 20Hz to 20 kHz. Damping factor of the model is greater than 250 at 8 ohm. 3 year warranty is given by the company for this product.
The unit also comes with high-current toroidal transformers for greater two-ohm power and low noise. The Independent user-defeat able clip limiters of the device reduce distortion as well. Binding post and Neutrik Speakon outputs are the other remarkable features of the unit.
The various indicators supported by the unit include Power-On: Green LED, Protect: Red, LED Signal -30dB: Yellow LED and Clip: Red LED. The amplifier protection features supported by the device include Short circuit, open circuit, thermal, ultrasonic, and RF protection. The loading protection features include On/off muting and DC fault output crowbar.
